I love routines and I love to create them. This is something I cannot live without as it makes my life so much easier.
I have heard from Aileen who is the founder of Lavendaire, a fantastic Youtuber and Podcaster, that creating habits (good or bad) makes them mechanical and also addictive somehow. Therefore, when you create bad habits it is difficult to get rid of them and, in the same vein, when you create good habits it is also difficult to get rid of them! This is a good thing obviously.
September is the perfect month for that. After the 1st of January I think it is the best time of the year to set some new goals and mindsets!
If you follow me for a while, you might have noticed that I am an Everyday Girl, who does a lot of things, and needs stuff to be done effectively and easily.
So here are 5 habits I have created and they all lead to save time and money! Let me explain:
Habit No1: Budgeting.
Every morning I update my excel sheet and forecast for the next month according to my desire, my real needs and my obligations. Like this I know exactly where am I at any time during the month and beyond.
Habit No2: Bring my own food to work.
We all know that bring your own meal is much cheaper and healthier than buying from the stores.
Habit No3: Going to the gym during lunch break.
I know, it sounds crazy but this is how I function now. And it has a lot of benefits:
- Detoxification due to the swet of the workout,
- Reduction of the appetize (at least for me, I eat 1 hour after the class which means that I am less hungry during the afternoon so that I can finish my day without craving for sugar and, or fat).
- Improvement of self-estime. With no doubt it is the number one benefit, the more you work-out the more you feel proud of yourself.
Habit No4: Read.
I am not a big reader, but I like to read. I’ve now get into the habit of reading a book everytime I have a few minutes for myself (in the metro, when I wait at the dentist, …, everywhere!).
Reading is good for me as it allows me to calm down in this noisy environment. And there are also other benefits you can find on the web, but to me this is really the sensation of calm that I get from the reading.
I just read 5 to 15 pages per day, and I’m good with that.
Habit No5: Have a good skincare routine and here is my video to illustrate the morning one!
Hope you enjoy!
